Borrowed Goods
First of all many thanks to quixotic the designer of Borrowed Goods for providing a clean error-free design and to the designer of Summer Holiday pogy366 for a beautiful design. I currently have Borrowed Goods on thoughts garden, didn't make too many changes to it but, added some accessibility features.
I notice some very nice features on Borrowed Goods:
- The whole page loads quickly in less than 1 second
- Valid XHTML1.0 and valid CSS
- There's a printable version of the CSS too, simply hit print-preview to see a page in printer friendly format
- Crawlers give importance to what's above the fold that's why it makes sense to have the side navigation *after* the content, if there would be too many links on the side nav.
- When viewed with a plain text browser such as Lynx the side navigation text is not repeated on the top of each page, but instead it's located at the bottom.
- Borrowed Goods template can easily be made accessible by following some of the guidelines here.
Summer Holiday
All top navigation tabs, background image and a few colors are from Summer Holiday.
A wider banner image could be added as a background on the header.
